This award recognises a woman of colour who excels in school teaching (primary or secondary) STEM subjects, inspiring students through innovative methods and dedicated engagement.

Award Criteria

This award is open to all women of colour who meet the following criteria:
– Demonstrated excellence in teaching STEM subjects using innovative approaches with measurable impact
– Inspired students to pursue further education or careers in STEM
– Made contributions beyond the classroom through mentorship, curriculum development, or community engagement in STEM education

Nominations are open to anyone who wishes to recognise a deserving woman of colour in STEM. This can include colleagues, mentors, peers, or the nominees themselves. To nominate someone, please fill out the nomination form.

Winners are selected by an independent judging panel comprising experts and leaders in STEM fields. They will review all nominations and assess them based on the criteria outlined for each category.
