This award recognises a woman of colour who has conducted ground-breaking and innovative scientific research with significant implications in any STEM field.

Award Criteria

We invite nominations for women who have demonstrated exceptional quality and impact in their scientific research. Applicants are encouraged to showcase their unique research journeys, highlighting the significance of their work, the quality and number of their publications, and recognition by the scientific community.

The award is open to all women of colour who have made meaningful contributions through their research, driving scientific innovation, and advancing knowledge in their field. The judging panel will consider how your research addresses critical scientific challenges, contributes to advancements in your field, and inspires future generations of researchers.

Nominations are open to anyone who wishes to recognise a deserving woman of colour in STEM. This can include colleagues, mentors, peers, or the nominees themselves. To nominate someone, please fill out the nomination form.

Winners are selected by an independent judging panel comprising experts and leaders in STEM fields. They will review all nominations and assess them based on the criteria outlined for each category.
