This award recognises a woman of colour who has demonstrated exceptional excellence in the engineering field through innovative solutions, impactful projects, and professional achievements.

Award Criteria

We invite nominations for women of colour who have made significant contributions to major engineering projects, driven technological innovations, and gained professional recognition for their work. Applicants are encouraged to showcase their unique journeys in engineering, highlighting their leadership in impactful projects, development of innovative solutions, and significant professional milestones.

The judging panel will consider how your work addresses complex engineering challenges, advances the field through innovative practices, and inspires future generations of engineers. The panel will look at how your contributions have led to tangible improvements, influenced industry standards, and promoted the advancement of engineering knowledge and practices.

Nominations are open to anyone who wishes to recognise a deserving woman of colour in STEM. This can include colleagues, mentors, peers, or the nominees themselves. To nominate someone, please fill out the nomination form.

Winners are selected by an independent judging panel comprising experts and leaders in STEM fields. They will review all nominations and assess them based on the criteria outlined for each category.
