This award recognises a woman of colour who has developed a novel product, idea, or technology within STEM fields.

Award Criteria

We welcome applicants who demonstrate innovation, originality, and practical application in their work. Your contribution should show potential impact on the industry or society, whether through technological breakthroughs, novel approaches to existing problems, or innovative applications of STEM principles.

We encourage all women of colour to apply, highlighting their unique perspectives and experiences in innovation. The judging panel will consider how your innovation addresses real-world needs, promotes innovation in STEM, and inspires future generations.

Nominations are open to anyone who wishes to recognise a deserving woman of colour in STEM. This can include colleagues, mentors, peers, or the nominees themselves. To nominate someone, please fill out the nomination form.

Winners are selected by an independent judging panel comprising experts and leaders in STEM fields. They will review all nominations and assess them based on the criteria outlined for each category.
