Award Criteria

This award is open to all women of colour who meet the following criteria:
– Currently enrolled in a PhD program or completed their dissertation in 2024
– Achieved significant academic distinction and recognition through their doctoral research
– Made contributions with the potential for lasting impact within their academic discipline

Nominations are open to anyone who wishes to recognise a deserving woman of colour in STEM. This can include colleagues, mentors, peers, or the nominees themselves. To nominate someone, please fill out the nomination form.

Winners are selected by an independent judging panel comprising experts and leaders in STEM fields. They will review all nominations and assess them based on the criteria outlined for each category.
