Data Science Pioneer Award

This award recognises a woman of colour who has utilised data science in innovative ways to solve complex problems or influence decision-making.

Award Criteria

We welcome applications from women of colour who have demonstrated excellence in the development of data models, data-driven insights, and contributions to the data science community. Applicants are encouraged to showcase their unique journeys in data science, highlighting the significance of their work, the impact of their insights, and their role in advancing the field.

The award is open to all women of colour who have made meaningful contributions through their expertise in data science, addressing real-world challenges and inspiring future data scientists. The judging panel will consider how your work addresses real-world challenges and inspires future data scientists.

Nominations are open to anyone who wishes to recognise a deserving woman of colour in STEM. This can include colleagues, mentors, peers, or the nominees themselves. To nominate someone, please fill out the nomination form.

Winners are selected by an independent judging panel comprising experts and leaders in STEM fields. They will review all nominations and assess them based on the criteria outlined for each category.
