PhD Awards

This award recognises a Woman of Colour PhD student who has demonstrated outstanding research and scholarship in STEM.

Award Criteria

We invite nominations for PhD students who have shown exceptional quality in their doctoral research, produced significant publications, and made meaningful contributions to the academic community. Applicants are encouraged to highlight the uniqueness and impact of their research, the quality and number of their publications, and their active involvement in academic activities. The award is open to women of colour in all STEM fields.

The judging panel will consider the significance and innovation of your doctoral research, the recognition your publications have received, and your contributions to advancing knowledge within your field.

Nominations are open to anyone who wishes to recognise a deserving woman of colour in STEM. This can include colleagues, mentors, peers, or the nominees themselves. To nominate someone, please fill out the nomination form.

Winners are selected by an independent judging panel comprising experts and leaders in STEM fields. They will review all nominations and assess them based on the criteria outlined for each category.
