We are thrilled to announce that the 2025 STEM Sisters Ambassador Program is now accepting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from women of colour in STEM currently living in Victoria, NSW and South Australia !

This program is designed to empower and support women of colour in STEM by providing opportunities for leadership development, professional networking, public speaking, and community engagement.

Being an Ambassador for STEM Sisters is an exciting opportunity and will set you up with useful skills that can only be gained through experience. As an ambassador, you will be expected to contribute a minimum of 30 hours of volunteering from 1st May 2025 to March 2026. Your involvement will include participating supporting and organising various STEM Sisters events and activities.

We are looking for passionate, dedicated women of colour who are active in the STEM community, committed to advocating for diversity and inclusion, and eager to inspire and lead by example.

All ambassadors must attend workshops and networking events online or in-person organized by STEM Sisters during May 2025 to March 2026.

Ambassador Commitment

As a STEM Sisters Ambassador, your participation in the program requires the following commitments:

Attendance at all in-person Ambassador Workshops in your state is mandatory.For all other workshops, online participation is required.Ambassadors must dedicate approximately 30 hours to the role over the course of 2025.

Volunteering Opportunities

Your primary volunteer responsibility is to organise Future Me STEM Workshops by engaging with local primary schools, libraries, and early childhood education centres to deliver impactful STEM outreach.

Additionally, ambassadors can contribute by supporting the following initiatives:

Soapbox Science Sydney 2025, Soapbox Science Melbourne 2025, Dress to Express Melbourne 2025, Women of Colour in STEM Awards 2025, Promoting STEM Sisters content on social media.
